Fan Zhendong (Chinese: 樊振东) was born 22 January, 1997 in Guangzhou, China.
He is one of the greatest Chinese players of his generation, being a strong rival to Ma Long since his professional debut. Fan Zhendong won the gold medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in team event. He is also a 8-time World champion, 4 times in team event, and twice, in singles and doubles events. Guangzhou born player is a 9-time Asian champion – 4 times in team event, twice in singles and doubles, and once, in mixed doubles event. On the national level, he is a 7-time Chinese champion – 4 times in singles, twice in doubles and once in mixed doubles event. On the professional circuit, Fan Zhendong has won 17 titles in singles and 12 titles in doubles event. On club level, he has won one Chinese Super League title.
