The 49th edition of the Europe Top 16 was held in Switzerland. The 39-year-old German legend Timo Boll won his seventh title of this tournament, catching the legendary Swedish superstar Jan-Ove Waldner, who also finished his career with seven Europe Top 16 titles. In the final, Boll played great against the rising Slovenian star – Darko Jorgic. The 41-year-old Austrian veteran Robert Gardos won the bronze medal.
