The fourteenth edition of Europe Top 12 in Bratislava saw a great run by the rising Swedish star – Jan-Ove Waldner. He won 9 out of 11 games and confidently took the title, leaving behind the Czechoslovak international Jindrich Pansky, and his Swedish teammate Mikael Appelgren. This tournament marked the final appearance of the legendary Hungarian international – the 34-year-old Istvan Jonyer, who finished his international career with two Europe Top 12 titles.
