The eighth edition of Europe Top 12 in Prague saw only ten players to finish the tournament. The Swedish international Ulf Thorsell withdrew during the tournament and Desmond Douglas did not enter the competition. Nevertheless, the Hungarian star Gabor Gergely displayed a very consistent performance, losing only one game, and winning his first & eventually, the only title of Europe Top 12 in his career.
