1960 YEAR 1962


The Top 10 of the 1961 World Rankings featured mostly Chinese and Japanese players. 21-year-old Chinese international Zhuang Zedong won the World Championships and secured the World Ranking leader spot. His compatriots Li Furong and Xu Yinsheng finished the year in Top 3. The highest-ranked European player was the Hungarian veteran – Ferenc Sido, who also added a bronze at the English Open.
