Ichiro Ogimura (Japanese: 荻村伊智朗) was born 25 June, 1932 in Itō, Japan.
A former World Ranking leader, Ogimura won 12 gold medals at the World Championships – 5 in team event, three in mixed doubles and twice in singles and doubles events. He was a 5-time Asian champion – twice in team and once in singles, doubles & mixed doubles events. On professional circuit, Ogimura won two singles and three doubles titles. On national level, Ogimura was a 5-time Japanese champion – three times in mixed doubles, twice in doubles and once, in singles event.
