The 47th edition of the Europe Top 16 was held in the Swiss town Montreux for the first time in tournament’s history. The 37-year-old German legend Timo Boll emerged as the winner of this edition, easily beating his compatriot Dimitrij Ovtcharov in the final 4-0. It was Boll’s sixth Europe Top 16 title in his career. The Danish international Jonathan Groth finished third and won the bronze medal.
