The 45th edition of the Europe Top 16 in Gondomar saw successful run of the 28-year-old German international – Dimitrij Ovtcharov, who won his third Europe Top 16 title. In the final, he faced the local favorite – the 33-year-old Portuguese veteran Joao Monteiro. In an exciting finals match-up, the former World Ranking leader secured a 4-2 win. The Russian international Alexander Shibaev won the bronze medal.
