Wang Liqin (Chinese: 王励勤) was born 18 June, 1978 in Shanghai, China. He was one of the greatest table tennis players of his generation – a former World Ranking leader.
Wang Liqin is a 2-time Olympic champion – once in doubles & team events. He is a 11-time World champion – 4 times in team, 3 times in singles and twice in doubles & mixed doubles events. Former World Ranking leader won 7 World Tour Finals in his career – 4 times in doubles and 3 times in singles event. On the professional circuit, Wang Liqin won 21 title in singles and 23 titles in doubles event. On the club level, he won the Champions League in 1999 and the Chinese Super League in 2008.
