Tibor Klampar was born 30 April, 1953 in Budapest, Hungary. He was one of the members of the Golden Generation of the Hungarian table tennis in 1970’s.
Klampar is a 2-time World champion (once in doubles & team events) and a 3-time European champion (twice in team & once in doubles event). In 1981, he won the World Cup. On the professional tour circuit, Klampar won 9 singles and 9 doubles titles in his career. On the national level, he is a 25-time Hungarian champion – 11 times in doubles, 9 times in singles and 5 times in mixed doubles event. On the club level, Klampar won 6 Hungarian Extraliga titles and two Champions League and ETTU Cup titles in his career.
