Lucjan Błaszczyk was born 28 December, 1974 in Lwówek Śląski, Poland.
He competed in 4 Olympic Games (1996, 2000, 2004 & 2008). In 2002, Błaszczyk won the mixed doubles event at the European Championships. Błaszczyk is a 33-time Polish champion – 15 times in doubles, 11 times in singles and 7 times in mixed doubles event. On the professional circuit, he won one singles and 5 doubles titles in his career. On club level, Błaszczyk won three German Bundesliga titles, as well as one ETTU Cup and Champions League title.
