Andrej Gacina was born 21 May, 1986 in Zadar, Yugoslavia (now Croatia).
In 2011, he won the European Championships in doubles event. On the professional circuit, Gacina has won one singles and two doubles titles. On the club level, Croatian international has won two Italian Serie A and Belgian Super Division titles, three Russian Premier League, one ETTU Cup, Polish Superliga and Greek A1 League title.
