Jean-Philippe Gatien was born 16 October, 1968 in Ales, France.
In 1993, he became a World champion in singles event. Gatien is a 4-time European champion – twice in team event, and once, in doubles and mixed doubles events. In 1997, he won Europe Top 16 tournament. Gatien is a 23-time French champion – 13 times in singles, 8 times in doubles and twice, in mixed doubles event. On professional circuit, the former World Ranking leader has won two singles and 8 doubles titles in his career. On club level, Gatien has won 14 French Pro A titles, as well as two Champions League and ETTU Cup titles.
