Heinz Schneider was born 12 October, 1932 in Mulhouse, Weimar Republic (now France).
In 1957, he won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Stockholm. On the national level, Schneider won 3 German titles – once in singles, doubles & mixed doubles events, and 15 East German titles – 6 times in doubles and singles events, and three times in mixed doubles event. On club level, he won 2 East German Oberliga titles.
Schneider died 20 August, 2007 at the age of 75 in Mulhouse, France.
