Dmitry Mazunov was born 12 May, 1971 in Nizhny Novgorod, Soviet Union (Russia).
He competed in 4 Olympic Games (1992, 1996, 2004, 2008). Mazunov won the bronze medals in doubles in 1991 World Championships. He also won several medals in doubles event at the European Championships. Mazunov is a 6-time Russian champion – 3 times in singles & doubles events. On the club level, he won 2 German Bundesliga titles with TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen.
