Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 was a very intense year for the table tennis world. In a single year, players had to play in the Olympic Games, World, and European Championships. Add to this all the national league games and the continental club competitions.
Since there was so much action around the world, we brought together a review of 2021. We looked back on all the major tournaments, as well as on the national leagues. The success of Ma Long and Fan Zhendong, the dominant season of the German Bundesliga club Borussia Düsseldorf with its legend Timo Boll and many other successful runs – they all are featured in our first rewind.
